The CNY 1st Annual Cake Decorating Contest is over!!

I am so thrilled at the turn out we had for our first cake decorating contest.  We had 78 people register and 64 showed up to compete on Saturday Oct. 3rd.  There were so many beautiful cakes.  I am glad I took myself off of the judging panel.  The judges definately had a hard task.  We had some great demonstrations through out the day including a Wilton Demo (of course), a Fondant Figurine Demo, A One Stroke Painting Demo and a Gum Paste Flower Demo.  Thank you so much to all of the Wilton Instructors that volunteered their time to make it a success.  The quick decorating contests were a lot of fun.  We has a Cookie Decorating Contest for the kids as well as a Wafer Cookie Gingerbread House Building and Decorating Contest.  For the adults we had a Mystery Tip Challenge as well as a Cupcake Cake Challenge.  I will be loading more pictures of the event tomorrow.  I have posted all of the contest's winning cake photos.  I hope all of the competitors enjoyed the day.  I can't wait for next year and I hope to see you all again.  Congratulations to all of the winners, you deserved it!!  Be watching, I will be posting all of the cakes from the event as well as some of the activities that went on during the day.
